Juxtaposed…
..a scene from the waiting room.
A small hand appears in the pale stream of sunlight. A giggle sharp and sweet, at the way the light and shadow plays on that tiny hand, bursts out.The hand is taken away.
The show repeated with obvious joy.
A large hand appears in front of a slightly irritated face. A sharp intake of breath, let out with impatience. As if the sound would will time to move faster. The hand is taken away.
The show repeated with obvious discontent.
When do we lose the ability to enjoy simple things in life?
People watching again?
Why were you in the waiting room? Call me! Please.
We lose the ability when we become aware of the choice. Like you , In fact. You were fine till your ‘lens’ was zoomed in on the tiny tot’s hand. What made you zoom out and focus on the large hand, instead?
